Growing up as a teenager in Los Altos, I spent my summers working on local construction sites. It was during
these summers that I developed a passion for the building process.  As an apprentice carpenter, I learned the
skills of the trade.  While working alongside lead carpenters and project managers, I also learned that through
communication, detailed planning, and organization, successful and stress free projects could be built.  During
my college summers, I worked in the Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, and Palo Alto areas as a lead carpenter and
eventually a foreman.  

I have been working in the construction industry for 16 years and have been involved in many different aspects
of the building field.  For instance, after graduating from Saint Mary's College, I worked as an engineer on the
Benicia Bridge Project for Kiewit Pacific Construction Company.  Because I wanted to focus on the
craftsmanship of the family home, I left Kiewit to work for Ratts Construction in Los Altos.  I was the foreman
and superintendent for Ratts Construction.  I also worked as a project manager for MJK Homes building high
end custom homes in the area.  With this added experience, I decided to start my own construction company to
fulfill my vision of how custom homes could be built.
